I got a hair cut! I like it as it is. I like it different lengths so I can experiment with it. I want it long enough to put up, but not too long because I don’t like long hair for me.
Rare Bird Sighting
We went to Oma’s house to mow her lawn. When we got there, we saw the biggest bird I have ever saw! It was smaller than an Ostrich, but slightly larger than a Secretary Bird, I think.
It appears to come from Alaska, because it had a funny Poler Bear marking on it. We watched it waiting for an egg. It had gone off for food and there was not any eggs. It came back and when it went off again, there was a funny colored egg! It was a pinky purplish color!
Momma said we had to go because Daddy and Mark had finished mowing the lawn.
When we came back a week later to mow the lawn, we saw a very bored Momma bird. She looked like she wanted a book, but we were afraid she would fly away. Then, we noticed a crack in the egg!
The Momma bird got out the nest and watched the egg crack open more. Slowly, we watched a baby bird come out of the egg! The Momma bird looked so excited. I thought it was neat that the baby bird looked almost like it’s Mom! It had the same Polar Bear markings on its tummy.
When we came back a week later, we watched it fly away. I missed watching the baby bird grow. That would have been fun.
I wonder if this bird will ever come back. I will be watching for it.
Soccer
We had a good game on Saturday. I have known at least one person on each team we played. They have been my friends or people from my team another year. It is fun to play with them again.
This team we played was good. Their coaches said we did a really good job. We won 7-3, but we worked hard for it.
Tulips
I have been experimenting with taking pictures of flowers. I have had fun taking pictures of the tulips. The pink and the purple ones are from our neighbors and the yellow is from Oma and Opa’s house.
After I take the pictures, I am having fun learning how to edit them. The purple one we tried to make it look like an oil painting. The yellow one we just sharpened it. The pink one we adjusted the color just a little bit.
I like the pink one best because it is big and bright.
Soccer –We Won!
Primrose
I was taking pictures of Primroses. Momma was playing with one of her pictures and she found a way to make look like an Impressionists painting. I really liked the idea, so Momma showed me how to make it look like an Impressionist picture. I played with it for a little bit. I really like how it turned out.
First Soccer Game
We had fun on our first soccer game. My team is called the Lady Rattlers. Daddy and Momma are my coaches. We won 11-1.
I don’t think all the girls played soccer before on the other team. My team all played soccer before, that’s why I think we did so well. When we play them again, I think they will do better.
My games are on Saturdays at 10:00. I will try to post how I do for most games 🙂
Brownie Cupcakes
Mommy surprised us with these. Here is the recipe.
Daddy found this recipe on Facebook.
1 package Oreos
- Favorite brand of peanut butter
- 3/4 c melted butter
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 1.5 tsp vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 c flour
- 1/3 +3 Tbl cocoa powder
- 1/3 tsp baking powder
- Make brownies by mixing together the butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs. Stir in flour, cocoa and baking powder. Mix well.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place 12 cup cake papers in a cupcake pan.
- Spoon a tsp brownie mix in the bottom of the cupcake papers.
- Make the Oreo layer by spreading peanut butter between two Oreos and adding some on top. Fill each cupcake paper this way.
- Pour a little brownie mix into each cupcake paper, trying to get it around the Oreos.
- Bake at 350 for 20 -25 minutes. A toothpick inserted near the top will come out clean when finished.
- Cool on wire rack.
- Enjoy!
Spring Mud
Yesterday Adrian was jumping in a puddle. I thought it looked like fun. So I went and jumped in a couple of times. It was fun. When it warms up, I want to do it some more.
When I got cold I went inside and took a nice long shower! Momma had to soak my clothes and then wash them twice to get them clean 🙂
Skunk Cabbage
Yesterday we went to the park. We took a walk and Momma took a picture of the Skunk Cabbage. Later, I took a picture of the Skunk Cabbage. Momma said I did a really good job.
Skunk Cabbage stinks and when people used to have stuffy noses, they would break off a piece and smell it. It was supposed to help your stuffy nose go away. It is one of the first spring flowers to come up.
