Today we made some cherry cobblers for the neighbors and for our dessert. It was good! Here is the recipe in case you want to make it. It was very sweet, so you might want to cut down on the sugar.
Easy Cherry Cobbler Recipe
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup almond flour (or use all flour)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups sour cherries, fresh or frozen
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 TBL flour
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Pour melted butter into a 9×13 inch pan. Combine the flour, almond flour, sugar and baking powder. Mix in the milk and then pour over butter in pan without stirring.
In a clean bowl combine cherries with 1/2 cup sugar and tablespoon of flour. Add to the top of batter without stirring.
Bake for about an hour until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream 🙂
**We did not follow the directions and doubled the recipe and it still fits into a 9 x 13 inch pan in case you need A LOT!**
Oh, that looks so yummy!!
Looks wonderful. Do you have a cherry tree or can you buy them in a store? We only get glazed cherries or in a bottle! Then it is very expensive! Enjoy your cherrie cobler!
