Bonneyville Mill

millWalking with DaddyIt's fallOn Saturday, we went to the mill.  We took a walk. I found a really pretty leaf.  I asked for part of some corn.  We are going to put it under the microscope.  We bought some flour.  A dragonfly landed on Mark’s shoulder.

We learned this in school today, and it is a trivia question for you.  What is pericarp?corn coatsPretty fall leaf

  1. If you want to explore the mill, it closes at the end of October! I think it is open Wednesday through Saturday.

If you want a beautiful fall walk, the area is open all week long. It is beautiful there right now!

  2. Audery I like your pictures and also you are getting to be a big girl now. Love you Audery

  4. Audrey,
That was a good trivia question! We didn’t know what a pericarp was so we looked it up in the dictionary. You helped us learn something new!

  5. A pericarp is the outside of the corn! It looks like a funny color of thin ice. Momma said it looks like small fat glitter. 🙂
