Miss Val let us watch her Praying Mantis egg case. They were fun to watch after they hatched. Daddy took them to Miss Val for her garden. I hope we find another one that we can keep
and try to raise a few as pets. If Momma lets me.

Easter
Movie Star

Yesterday, Mrs. Clawson (from a news program) came over to take a video of how we do maple syrup. I got to pound the tap into the tree and skim the boiling sap. It is a lot of work to do news programs. I don’t think it would be a fun. I think it would be fun to talk to all the people though.

Toothless Wonder is Back Again
Tonight, around 5:15 I was laying on the couch. I was turning over and bumped on the side of the couch’s arm. My tooth landed right in my hand! I went “waha waha”. That means “water, water, lots and lots of water!”
I have lost 8 teeth and so did Mark and so did Andrea. But not at the same time, they were older. I have the most teeth gone at 7 years old! Megan says I am trying to catch up with her.
My Poor Baby Chicken
Yesterday, I made chicken. I was being silly and called it “my poor baby chicken” because he had to take a salty lemon bath in the refrigerator!
I like making chicken. It is easy. Momma said that I have to learn to make something new. Do you have a good idea?
If you want to make this recipe, here it is! Chicken with Garum Masala
Eating Cat’s Tongues
Audrey and Indian Cooking
We are learning about India. The food is very similar to food from Afghanistan and Pakistan.
We made Samoosas, chicken tikka (Momma said it is supposed to be without bones, but we only had a whole chicken and did not want to debone it 🙂 ) and Naan.
It was easy. If you want to make Naan, here is the recipe. Here is the recipe for the Samoosas. We did not copy what the recipe said, we used venison instead of hamburger. Thank you Uncle Joe for the venison. It tasted good. We also made our own dough. You can use chicken tikka spices, but Momma does not have the recipe we used on her recipe book yet.
And we did henna. They use henna for weddings, but we did ours for fun! It is pretty. It was cold at first. It was like you were putting mud on! Then it dried and then it would peel off. I want to do it again!
Scandinavian Crafts
W
e are learning about Scandinavia. People who live there are Scandinavians. We are learning how to do Scandinavian crafts. We made Swedish heart weaving baskets. They were hard until you got the picture.
Momma made a Finnish Paper Star. The picture did not turn out, but the star is hanging like it is hanging on the Christmas tree.
We made a gingerbread house–but that was not really Scandivanianish. Gingerbread houses are more from Germany.
Can you give me ideas for crafts from other countries?
First Snowman of the Year
Hospice Butterfly
I was checking on my butterfly today and I was wondering where she was. I looked in the corner and she was dead 🙁
I am glad I took care of her because she would not have lived so long. I loved her. And God made her special.
I learned a lot about butterflies this year!
