Monkey

Last Sunday, when we came home from church, we found a bag by the back door. It had a dress with monkeys on it! Everyone knew it was for me, because I really love monkeys.

It was a surprise from Simone! Momma said that Simone and her mom saw the dress and thought of me!

I really like it. I will wear it a lot! Thank you Simone and Auntie Candy!

Movie Star

Learning how the camera works.

Yesterday, Mrs. Clawson (from a news program) came over to take a video of how we do maple syrup. I got to pound the tap into the tree and skim the boiling sap. It is a lot of work to do news programs. I don’t think it would be a fun. I think it would be fun to talk to all the people though.

Toothless Wonder is Back Again

Tonight, around 5:15 I was laying on the couch. I was turning over and bumped on the side of the couch’s arm. My tooth landed right in my hand! I went “waha waha”. That means “water, water, lots and lots of water!”

I have lost 8 teeth and so did Mark and so did Andrea. But not at the same time, they were older. I have the most teeth gone at 7 years old! Megan says I am trying to catch up with her.

Sledding with Daddy

Here is my guest writer–Adrian!

Today we went to the park. All of us sled with Daddy one time. I liked doing it with Daddy. Audrey was liking the ride too. I liked doing the rides too. We went on the big HUGE hill. The hill was very HUGE! I liked going down it lots of times.

I went sledding all by myself. I loved doing it. I was not scared in the big hill. The snow was like a snow storm! I loved sliding down the big HUGE hill. I loved sledding lots.

Can you sled with me again Daddy? Love, Adrian.

We would have sled more if Megan had not started crying. She was getting cold. We went to Oma’s house. I played with my aunt’s dog. She is getting really big fast! Really, really fast! We had some chai to warm up. I had a fun morning. If you click on the pictures, you can see how much fun I had 🙂

Eating Cat’s Tongues

Daddy and Uncle Sam went to pick up Mrs. Plett’s Mom on a really snowy day. They brought home some chocolates from Slovakia. The one was called “Cat’s Tongue” and the other had cherries, chocolate, peanuts and Mark said there was jelly beans in it. They were very good!

Thank you Mrs. Plett for sharing with us!

Henna Turtle

This is my turtle. Daddy henna’d him. I think he did it last Sunday. It is still on and looking good. He touched up my hand and my ankle and toe from before. I really like henna!

Thank you Daddy!

Audrey and Indian Cooking

We are learning about India. The food is very similar to food from Afghanistan and Pakistan.

We made Samoosas, chicken tikka (Momma said it is supposed to be without bones, but we only had a whole chicken and did not want to debone it 🙂 ) and Naan.

It was easy. If you want to make Naan, here is the recipe. Here is the recipe for the Samoosas. We did not copy what the recipe said, we used venison instead of hamburger. Thank you Uncle Joe for the venison. It tasted good. We also made our own dough. You can use chicken tikka spices, but Momma does not have the recipe we used on her recipe book yet.

And we did henna. They use henna for weddings, but we did ours for fun! It is pretty. It was cold at first. It was like you were putting mud on! Then it dried and then it would peel off. I want to do it again!

Merry Christmas!

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Luke 2: 10-12 NASB

Happy Birthday Jesus!
