Baby Bird

About two weeks ago, I asked Momma if we could look in the nest in the window by our front door.  We found three or four eggs!

A few days later there were two babies. The next time we checked all the babies had hatched and had fuzz on them.

We checked them again and they had wings that we could see and feathers.

Today we were helping do something for Daddy outside and we saw three things fly out of the nest.  We think they were Momma bird, Daddy bird and baby bird. The baby bird was learning how to fly! He did good.  We watched him for a little bit and then he watched his mom– or his dad–fly.

He flew with his mom and caught a branch.  He forgot to fly and was starting to fall and then he remembered he could fly! We are watching for the other ones to learn how to fly.

I will be sad when they all leave the nest because we won’t be able to watch them grow more. But I am going to be happy that the baby birds can play and then mate and then have more babies.  Hopefully they will build their nest so we can watch their families grow!

Queen the suprise

Queen is a new alpaca from across the street. She is a surprise because she was supposed to be born the end of this month!  She is only six days old! We put her and her mom in a little stall together and Queen’s big brother kept coming into the crea area right beside where Queen is kept. He kept peeking in and saying, “can you come out and play? Can Queenie play too?”

Yesterday we took the two alpacas outside to the field to play for a little bit. The three creas were playing with Queen. When we brought them in, I got to hold Queen.  She is heavy, but not as heavy as Megan.  Her fiber feels soft!

Friday the 13

On Friday, two baby goats were born across the street. The one that I am holding is named Friday.  His sister is Peaches. I got to hold them both, but only got one picture.

I like the goats!

Socks

On Wednesday, I went to Auntie Angelique’s house.  She gave me some fun socks! They have monkeys on them with pink and yellow and white and purple toes. The big toe has a monkey on it. On the top has fuzz on it.

As Momma said, “these are perfect Audrey socks!” :)  Thank you Auntie Lilly!

Chicken Pox!

Momma found this picture yesterday. It made her laugh.  She wanted me to tell you the story about my friend who likes to get me into trouble!  Her name is Little Princess.

A long long time ago, I don’t know how old I was, I made Little Princess have chicken pox. I colored all over her with a pen during nap time.  I felt sad.  I hid her in the dress up clothes. Not to long after (I think the same day!) Momma found her!

Momma was sad too. We looked up how to clean chicken pox off a doll. Momma found how. We used acne cream and put Little Princess in the window. When the sun shined in, it cleared up the ink.

There are very tiny bits of ink still, but if you don’t look closely, you can hardly see them.

I learned never to color on a doll. When I make a mistake (or experiment) tell Momma right away. Sometimes they get fixed, but sometimes they don’t.

Little Princess still gets me into trouble, but she is getting better. Maybe someday I will tell you more stories.

Monkey Trouble

On Tuesday night, we got to play with Henna. I had fun. I did “Monkey Trouble” because I like monkeys and I am mischievous like a monkey.

Mommy did my hand. I did Mommy. I made a smiley face.

Cats at Home

I have wanted face paint for  a long time.  Momma and Daddy got me a Klutz Face Painting book for Christmas. Momma likes this face paint because it washes off and is easy to use!

Mommy painted our faces. I was being a lion and Andrea and Megan were the queens of the jungle.  Adrian and Mark were tigers (Tiggers?)
