The pony was three months old.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-94\" src=\"https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/Petting-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Petting\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Momma found this poem by Red Skeleton.\u00c2\u00a0 I like parts of it.\u00c2\u00a0 He wrote it for his Daddy.<\/p>\n<p>The Circus<br \/>\nBy Red Skelton<\/p>\n<p>The circus! The magical city<br \/>\nThat appears and disappears with the bat of an eye.<br \/>\nA cathedral for children and adults<br \/>\nMade of canvas and trimmed with red wagons.<br \/>\nA sunburst of wheel, pink lemonade and cotton candy.<br \/>\nA temple housing the unity of man and beast&#8230;<br \/>\nAll performing for the good of their fellow man<br \/>\nWith shouts of glory.<br \/>\nThe perfomers\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 only reward is the echo of the applause<br \/>\nAnd laughter of children&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>How sad it would be if my youth would pass away<br \/>\nAnd not see the beauty of the big red wagons,<br \/>\nAnd taste the rare vintage of pink lemonade!<br \/>\nOr become so blas\u00c3\u00a9\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 that I couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t offer a silent prayer<br \/>\nFor the man on the flying trapeze,<br \/>\nOr sigh as I watch him swing to and fro.<\/p>\n<p>P.S.\u00c2\u00a0 I got to see two boys spinning on two wheels.\u00c2\u00a0 They were practicing for tonight.
