Miss Krista said that we could come because it is a day she usually can use extra help.<\/p>\n<p>The little kids at Nature Nuts carved pumpkins. I helped them carve pumpkins. I enjoyed doing it. Most people did not take their pumpkin seeds home, so we got them all. We had about 8 cups worth! We also got to bring home the cut pumpkin pieces which Momma cooked and used in bread. We still have more for a pie.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Cleaning.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1070\" src=\"https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Cleaning-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"158\" srcset=\"https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Cleaning-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Cleaning.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 210px) 100vw, 210px\" \/><\/a>We roasted the pumpkin seeds. We made them all different kinds. We were going to have a taste test.\u00c2\u00a0 Here is the recipe Adrian made from Miss Krista&#8217;s recipe and the variations.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 Tbl butter<\/li>\n<li>2 cups pumpkin seeds.\u00c2\u00a0 We took the strings off, but did not wash<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp garlic powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp seasoning salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Bake.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1069\" src=\"https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Bake-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"139\" srcset=\"https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Bake-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Bake.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 210px) 100vw, 210px\" \/><\/a>Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit<\/p>\n<p>Melt butter and add seeds and spices, mix well. We did this on a large cookie sheet.<\/p>\n<p>Spread seeds well.<\/p>\n<p>Bake 40-50 minutes, stirring often, until seeds are browned and crisp.<a href=\"https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Finished.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1071\" src=\"https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Finished-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"140\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Finished-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Finished.jpg 534w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 140px) 100vw, 140px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Pour-spices.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1072\" src=\"https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Pour-spices-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"139\" srcset=\"https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Pour-spices-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/audrey.mcguireclan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Pour-spices.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 210px) 100vw, 210px\" \/><\/a>Experimental Variations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I followed the recipe except I baked it 10 minutes on parchment paper before adding the spice mix.\u00c2\u00a0 It needed to bake 60 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Andrea boiled the seeds for 10 minutes then drained them. She followed Miss Krista&#8217;s recipe exept added 3\/4 Tbl Worcestershire Sauce.<\/li>\n<li>Mark tried to pan fry them with 2 Tbl coconut oil and the same spices.
